The second ILS logistics facility, after Zakroczym near Warsaw, will be a subject to automation and robotisation. According to the contract, Skypod\u00ae System will be installed in Brasov, Romania, in the second quarter of this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This investment is the next stage of the cooperation with A1 Sorter concluded last year. The newly built state-of-the-art facility in Brasov, Romania, will be automated. The installation will take place in a newly built hall on the VGP Park Brasov site.&nbsp; The facility is set to become a stand-alone HUB, serving ILS customers, in the Balkan region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8211; Installation of the Skypod<\/em>\u00ae <em>automation system in our Brasov branch is a milestone in the development of our company. It is a modern solution for efficient process automation, which significantly increases our competitiveness in the market. With this step, we are ready to meet the challenges of the future and provide an even higher level of service to our customers<\/em>&#8211; assesses Rafal Tomaszewski &#8211; <strong>Logistics Systems Development Director<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dynamic development is an integral part of the ILS strategy. The company is investing in most modern technology and equipment. At the end of 2023, ILS Balkan SRL, entered into an agreement with A1Sorter for the purchase of high-performance Skypod\u00ae System equipment. A1 Sorter is an integrator in Central and Eastern Europe for the sale of the unique and extremely modern technology provided by a pioneer in the market for this type of solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>First Skypod<\/strong>\u00ae <strong>installed in Zakroczym<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of last year, the installation of the first Skypod\u00ae system in the ILS European Logistics and Development Centre in Zakroczym began. Installation of this extensive and advanced system will continue until May. Skypod\u00ae, from Exotec, is a robotic intralogistics system that is characterised by high ergonomics, efficiency, flexibility of expansion, and optimally low electricity consumption. Skypod\u00ae helps with order preparation and picking, transporting goods stored in totes or trays between racks and picking stations. Autonomous mobile robots help to prioritise during order picking, resulting in efficient and effective order realization.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is now official.
