In the newly built Hall 6 of the European Logistics and Development Centre in Zakroczym, transport conveyors have been put into operation. Their purpose is to efficiently deliver stored tyres to the appropriate racks in the shipping area.
Modern sorting system
This area is equipped with 25 chutes, allowing materials to be sorted in multiple directions simultaneously. It is also equipped with a 360° scanning system to ensure a high degree of accuracy. Transport between levels is handled by two lifts with a combined capacity of more than 1,200 tyres per hour, which has a positive impact on the efficiency of the whole system.
The implementation of the conveyor technology has resulted in a significant increase in the efficiency of the handling of the transport process to the release zone, while at the same time improving safety and precision.
Development of new technologies in the ILS warehouses
The internal transport system in hall 6 is another successful investment that has been carried out according to plan and in line with the ILS company’s policy of developing technology as one of its top priorities in order to achieve the highest levels of quality and efficiency in its processes.
More warehouses, more storage space for ILS
The new warehouses, including Hall 6, were officially opened at the ILS European Logistics and Development Centre in Zakroczym in March 2024. This brings ILS’s total warehouse space at this suburban location to over 100,000 square metres. We plan to further expand this strategic facility in the future.
