Virtual tour with ILS

Virtual tour with ILS

VR Technology (Eng. virtual reality) is becoming more and more widely used in marketing activities. It allows for a very close contact with the brand, product and services. It can also perfectly serve to create the company’s image. This method of communication was chosen by the ILS European Logistics and Development Centre in order to show its audience how complex and interesting the logistics process is.

The plot of the film “Inter Cars delivers mobility” tells a story starting with an unexpected car failure, when a family is going away for the weekend, through the whole process of ordering a service with repair in one of the automotive repair garages. Does the story have a happy ending for the travelling family? Yes! This is because Inter Cars is a whole ecosystem of interconnected mechanisms and solutions thanks to which it is able to quickly respond to the needs of both garages and drivers. The film shows, in an unconventional way, how one of the 2 million parts available at ILS reaches the customer’s car in a short time.

The ILS European Logistics and Development Centre significantly optimises processes and reduces service costs thanks to continuous improvement of skills, knowledge and implementation of the most modern technologies. Its offer is unique, as it is modified for the needs of a specific customer, “tailor-made”.

VR technology allowed the impressive warehouses, efficient logistics, automation and 360° coordination of machines and people to be demonstrated.

The film made its premiere at Automechanika 2021 in Frankfurt.

The date of Automechanika 2021 in Frankfurt was approaching. Apart from the presentation and talks with our Partners, suppliers of parts, we wanted to present to our interlocutors the functioning of the ILS European Logistics and Development Centre, belonging to the Inter Cars Capital Group – says Joanna Król, Deputy Director for PR and International Communication. In this case we departed from classic marketing in favour of 360 technology. We wanted the participants of this event to get to know our logistics possibilities directly in Frankfurt through VR, without leaving their hotels and wasting time on travelling. Research shows that we remember most easily content and images which we have experienced ourselves and in the course of their “consumption” we experience some emotions.

Based precisely on experience and the possibility of transferring the viewer to our virtual world, we are very interested in their enthusiastic reactions and positive reception of the presented content. We want to show them the possibilities of Inter Cars and ILS even more broadly through empirism, experiencing and emotions. After putting on the 3D goggles the viewer is immediately transported to our European Logistic Centre and gets to know the links between programs, product range and their benefits. The VR technology we were keen to use is an increased opportunity for effective marketing communication, but also a way of presenting ILS as a technologically advanced company at every level of its operations– adds Joanna Król.
